Milk,250ml serves 4 Butter or margerine,30 grams Fresh bread,115 grams Jam,30 grams Lime Rind,a little Eggs,2 Sugar,55 grams Method Heat milk and butter together and pour over bread. Add half the sugar egg yolks and grated lime rinds. Mix well and allow to stand for half an hour. Pour into a greased pie dish and bake till quite firm. Heat jam and spread over the pudding. Beat whites of eggs stiffly. Fold in sugar and pile on pudding. Bake in a slow oven for about 15 minutes till merinque is set and pale brown in color. Return to main list of recipies |
